Food was mediocre at best (there were 9 of us). Some of the meat was cold when it arrived, and we had to send it back to be warmed up. Shrimp Scampi was horrible - polenta was tasteless, steaks weren't cooked to order - we ordered medium and got rare! We wanted more bread but couldn't get the attention of the waitress. We won't be going back there again. [29 Mar 2004 12:21:12]

This cat didntt spill the milk This cozy little hide away amidst the rush of La Habra is a wonderful place to sit by the fire and relax over a glass of Merlot and a five star meal.
Entering the establishment you are promptly greeted by a smiling hostess. IF tables are not available there is a wonderful bar area where the high top tables are a great place to order a drink or a hot cup of tea while you wait. The restaurant is sectioned off making it seem like small cozy corners without making you feel claustrophobic.
The wine menu is very extensive with all your favorites and a lot of choices if you want to try something new. Your waiter is very knowledgeable about the wine list and pairing it with your meal. Appetizer, salad, soup, main course- all are exceptional no matter what you're craving that night. After your meal a nice glass of Port and a chocolate cake always finish the night off right. You won't be disappointed when you leave because the same hospitality you received on the way in you will receive on your way out.
I give The Cat and the Custard Cup a very big two thumbs up.

Yummmmm Ok this is the best most cozy place to eat in town. I travel from Whittier to La Habra often just to eat here and we are regulars. It is, I have to say, a little pricey but its definitely worth every penny. If you go you must go all out so go you won't regret it!!!!!! [08 Nov 2006 23:27:39]

Meeoowwwww This is probably one of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time. It reminds me of when I was a young child living in a small town near London. I was greeted by a cheerful hostess, the service was phenomenal, and the food was extraordinary!! I look forward to my next visit.
Overall, I think this is a fabulous restaurant! [23 Jan 2008 18:45:16]
