Nelda’s Diner has been serving the Kern River Valley since 1976 under the same family ownership. It offers 18 burgers and over 100 named milkshakes. Breakfast is served all day, including eggs Benedict, “bigfoot” burritos, chicken fried steak and real corned beef hash. At lunch, a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches are available, including Reuben, pastrami melt, and French (or pastrami) dip. Favorite burgers are the Ringleader, the Haystack and the Flamer (read: HOT!). At dinner, all entrees are complete meals with soup or salad, entrée, potatoes or rice, vegetable, bread and dessert. The ribeye steak comes with sautéed mushrooms at no extra charge. Fried chicken, halibut steak, fried or charbroiled shrimp and many other items are available. Featuring senior portions, a kid’s menu, and handicap access.

Good Food
Overall family atmosphere. Staff is always friendly. Food is always good. You have to try Frank's shakes. They are the best in the Valley.    [14 Aug 2007 18:45:47]
