Discrimination
To whom it may concern,
I am writing about your Hometown Buffet. It is quite sad when the manager itself turns a group of handicap children away because of one child who cannot eat solid food and a teacher brought her own food to feed the child. She was told that regardless if the child eats or not, the teacher still had to pay for her being there. It is a shame how one cannot be with a kind heart to these challenged children. Your manager had turned them away. It sickened my stomach to know that it is a family friendly place, yet it proves that is not the case. Every other Hometown Buffet we go to have no problem with handicap children, but this Lakewood one was down right rude. There was no consideration whatsoever. Don't you know these children cannot help themselves the way they were born? They could at least get to eat at a normal place. So tell me where is the heart? I would not recommend any parent who had a child in a wheelchair or who cannot eat solid food to go there. The manager should have some common sense. They are supposed to be professional and friendly. I am quite outraged in this mistreatment of special ed. children!!! Have a heart, nest time you see our students there with us, be compassionate and welcome them, like you welcome every normal human being. Good day!    [17 May 2004 14:15:33]
