To Die For Steak Platters!!!!
This local favorite for Mexican food has a new twist and that is these HUGE steak platters that are crammed full of food (and cheap too - under $15). I tried the rib-eye steak and it came with this whopper potato that must have weighed in at 2lbs, a bowl of chili beans, corn on the cob, salad and dessert.
The restaurant has a warm homey feeling with Mexican pictures drawn on the walls in the dining area and in the bar and bare hardwood floors. A total Southwestern Texas - Mexican atmosphere. They have an outdoor patio with loads of plants and misters for when it is hot so you can eat outside. The bar even has karaoke on Friday nights and that was a hoot in itself.
The owner comes out and talks to everyone who is eating and even saw him sit down with a few of the customers at their tables for chit chat.

Great place to eat
This local restaurant is the best mexican food and American food in Lamont. The atmosphere is great and the owner is so nice and friendly. He comes and talks to each guest that is there eating. It's a great family restaurant.    [09 Jan 2005 23:44:07]
