In Love
I am absolutely ENAMORED with this restaraunt. I've been a vegetarian for nearly 2 years now and finding this place was such a wonderful surprise! Even my roommate, who practically subsists on meat alone, has loved every dish he's sampled from my visits to the House of Vege. I give it two green thumbs up!    [04 Sep 2003 14:20:19]

Love and somewhat obsessed
When I'm in town visiting family and friends, I sometimes will eat at House of Vege twice a day! :) I still haven't tried every dish yet. The variety and the dedication to promoting real Chinese-vegetarian cuisine is impressive. For those who like just a tad bit of spice but not flaming hot, this is a great place for you!    [26 May 2005 15:08:03]

Not what they say
They claim to be a vegan restaurant and they are not. The restaurant has new owners and things have changed. They now have fortune cookies that contain egg yet still claim to be vegan. Manager stated that they couldn't find any vegan cookies yet stated the restaurant was vegan when I inquired.
This makes me question if it is really even a vegetarian restaurant.    [13 Dec 2005 22:40:42]

Excellent Food
I never thought that vegetarian meats and seafood could taste like the real thing. For people that haven't tried it, this place serves really good dishes, full of flavor and really tasty. I have been there quite a lot and I had tried a lot of their dishes. Some dishes are more Americanized and others are like Chinesse traditional dishes, both are excellent.

Well, about the fortune cookies, I'm not vegan or vegetarian, so I don't care. Their dishes are still great! I go for the food not for the cookies... hahaha.....    [24 May 2006 17:48:44]

Amazing!
As a vegetarian, this place is a delight. The intensity of flavors is both varied and pleasing to the palate. Their 'House Fried Orange Chicken' doesn't seem 'fried' at all and is heavenly. The Broccoli Beef is finger-licking good. Our friends, who are non-vegetarian, got a kick out of their 'Peking Duck'. Definitely a must-try for, even those die-hard meat fans. The service is friendly and quick. A must visit - and you'll come back for more. Their Red Chili oil is to die for.    [21 Aug 2007 20:57:12]
