Great
This is a place that contains a very specific crowd, so if you feel uncomfortable around the gothic, coffee house types, this is not the place for you. But, if you enjoy a great cup of coffee, and don't want to pay $5 for a small, this is the place for you. There is occasionally a live band, and there are chess boards, and a quaint loft. The owners also own the connected used bookstore, that always has a great selection. The place is very atmospheric, considering a lot of people are stoned when they come in. But whther you're against it or not, the hot chocolate is excellent. A lot of people will buy a magazine at the sister store and drink coffee at South Side.    [24 Mar 2006 21:20:14]

Not all teens
South side has been serving people of all ages since 1994. The typical customer is not a teenager. Come inside any time during the day and see for yourself. There are older retired folks, lots of firefighters, EMTs, city employees, social service workers, business people, young moms with kids. And 99% are NOT stoned, get real.
