I went right after they first opened, and I was underwhelmed. They didn't really seem to have a concrete idea of what kind of place they wanted to be, so there was Italian, French, American plates on the menu. I had some scallops that were oversalted, though the figs and prosciutto were good.

Some of the plates were just too big to be tapas, which was reflected in the prices...The service was excellent, though, and the atmosphere was quite different from what I expect in Long Beach, in a good way.

It's gotten a good review in Zagat's and other places, so maybe they've improved since my early visit.    [25 Oct 2006 13:43:37]
