Great All Around Chinese I first found Chen's when family was visiting the area, I now get delivery from them regularly. Everything I have tried there is excellent. The food is just as good delivered as it is eating in, and delivery service is prompt. [19 Jun 2003 16:07:31]

Consistently Good Chen's serves up good food that will confirm to those who only eat at Panda Express (and other Chinese restaurants with food in warming dishes) that they have never really had Chinese food. Go hungry and be prepared to share with your dining companions as the portions are ample. The sauteed Chinese broccoli is served "just done enough", not wilted and bereft of any texture. Even the old Americanized standard of Egg Foo Young is done Chen's style, with generous amounts of chicken and vegetables and a tasty sauce over all. I haven't seen Mae Chen lately, but if she's in the restaurant, she will no doubt stop by your table and make sure you are happy with your experience at her restaurant. [30 Oct 2003 16:46:17]

For the best sweet and sour chicken in town go to Chens. To beat the poor service and the large crowd, I would recommend delivery. [20 Apr 2004 10:56:21]

Awesome This is our favorite Chinese, bar none! The best sauces and robust flavors. The service isn't the greatest but the food makes up for it all! [03 Dec 2005 00:17:02]

Good all-around casual Chinese dining Chinese is my favorite cuisine, and I enjoy all Chinese food, from fast food to fine dining. Chen's is in the middle, right where I want to be most of the time. The place is casual enough to go in with flip-flops and shorts, and large enough for a family get-together.
The food is good; not spectacular, but consistently good, and special requests don't phase them. I have food allergies and a family member has other medical issues that make very specific ordering the norm, rather than the exception, and they handle this with aplomb. We also love to mix and match ingredients that may not be on the menu, for instance, adding black mushrooms to a dish. They'll charge a dollar for an amazing (and delicious) amount.
One of the ways I judge Chinese restaurants is how they handle the old standard (and outwardly simple) Beef with Broccoli. Chen's makes it wonderfully: the sauce is flavorful without being greasy, the beef is tender without being mushy, and the broccoli is a perfect crunchy texture.
This is my neighborhood Chinese restaurant, so I get delivery or takeout quite often. Their delivery can take a while, usually about 45 minutes to an hour, and I live 5 blocks away. I've gotten used to that, though, and I just factor that into my decision. [30 Dec 2006 22:33:29]

Be ready to take some home Amazing food, you get so much you will have dinner for a week. I have never heard one bad comment about Chen's and I tell all the neighbors to eat there.
I want some of their egg drop soup, with the tofu in it, and corn, too good to be true. [13 Aug 2007 17:45:20]
