Nice fresh friendly
The manager is a great caring lady that aims to please. The cafe closes at 2:00 so get there early. Great potato salad and all of the sandwiches I've tried so far were fresh and tasty. I need to go back and try breakfast soon.    [18 Jan 2004 02:53:40]

Great Nieghborhood Cafe/Diner/Coffee Shop
Ate there for the first time today (5/19/07 A.M.. This is one of those great little neighborhood joints that enjoys happy satisfied 'first name basis' customers that have been dining there for years. We noticed that of the customers there the 'staff' knew all their names. That's what you get when you serve consistently good food at consistently good prices and have a consistently friendly attitude and smiling face when greet and as talk with your customers. I had the the chicken fried steak and eggs with home fries and sourdough toast. It was easily the best chicken fried steak I'd ever eaten. Just the right amount of coating (not overly coated), and fried to a perfect golden crispy crunch! Topped with a little homemade gravy. Asked for some extra gravy on the side, and it was graciously given at no extra charge. My dining companion had the croissant breakfast sandwich...egg, bacon, avocado with lettuce and tomato and chose hash browns for his potato. It was good sized and he said it was one of the best he had had. His hash browns were not real greasy and the potato shreds were of the thicker variety and did not stick together like thinner shreds cooked with a lot of grease. And they were browned just right Just the way we like 'em. Can't wait to return and try some more breakfast items, and what looks like to be a great lunch menu.    [19 May 2007 22:03:34]
