Lives up to its promise Their tag line is "A Meal in a Crust". Spend less than you would at a fast food place, but come away satisfied instead of hungry.
They sell small and large pasties, chicken, beef, or veggie. I personally cannot eat the large size in one sitting.
In case you don't know what a pasty is, it is a meat pie stuffed with all kinds of filling veggies and potatoes. Good hot or cold. Great for a quick satisfying lunch. [21 Nov 2003 14:45:35]

UP food in SoCal I'm from Upper Peninsula of Michigan where pasties are are regional favorite. The Pasty Kitchen is right up there but they don't use rutabega. [12 Apr 2005 11:18:50]

Fantastic! I'm from South-West England, where pasties originate from. To tell the truth, these are every bit as tasty as the best pasty you can find in Cornwall. I'm *very* happy to have found this place.
It's not a restaurant though. You pick up your pasty and either leave or sit at one of the three outside tables. There is limited choice, but all are good.
I have one of their frozen large beef pasties in the freezer right now. Eating it tonight. :] [29 Jan 2006 17:51:59]
