The perfect roadside seafood shack. I don't know why the fetid Neptune's Net up the road gets all the attention. Malibu Seafood is, no contest, the best roadside seafood restaurant anywhere on PCH. It's impeccably clean, with seafood that looks and smells as fresh as any I've seen.
Fried, steam or sauteed, the seafood here goes great with the view of the beach and Pacific, which are just steps across the street. [11 Mar 2002 17:54:39]

Our favorite seafood restaurant ever My husband and I have been enjoying this place since before the heat lamps and lights. We used to jam up PCH before it closed at dusk. They have the freshest fish and shellfish around. We bring everyone here! If you visit LA you must go! [08 Mar 2006 21:32:22]

Nice view & great lunch. Considering that this is a take-out and fish market we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and the variety of the food. As you walk into the ordering area you can see several display cases of seafood and there was no fish aroma at all. We chose the fried seafood combo and the grilled salmon dinner (one of the two daily specials). All food was perfectly fresh and well prepared. The "New England" chowder would not win awards back there but considering that we are 2500 miles removed from NE it was quite tasty and enjoyable.
While we were eating on the outdoor patio we were delighted to see a pod of dolphins swim by just beyond the breaking waves.
I will certainly try this place again when I drive up the Pacific Coast Highway. [29 May 2007 19:56:14]
