Italian food at its best As my family is friends with one of the partners in the Mangia Bene restaurant, I may be a bit biased but the food is suberb. Literally hidden in a strip mall, is this little jewel which features friendly service, great wines, and simple, traditional Italian fare that makes your taste buds happy and your wallet happier. Found By Accident I found this great little Italian restaurant by accident. Co-workers and I were going to the Chinese place next door and decided to try the Mangia Bene. I have been going back often since then. I go for lunch at least twice a week and for dinner when I am working late.
I have had the majority of the entrees on the menus (regular and specials). I have not had anything that I said I didn't like or would not order again. I LOVE the Risotto di Mare and the Chicken Marsala.
The food is moderately priced and you always get a large helping. They start you off with fresh, warm, homemade bread and panzanella (a concoction of tomato sauce, garlic and spices). It is a wonderful way to start off a meal. All of the desserts I have had have been wonderful. I am a little biased in this area due to a massive sweet tooth. The tiramisu is wonderfully decadent.
The service has always been great and I love the Italian background music. I highly recommend this restaurant. Original review date 21 Feb 2004 [17 Feb 2007 04:30:58]
