A breath of fresh air in Southern California.
The ahi tuna appetizer (loved the truffle oil in the soy dressing) was extraordinary. Calamari salad with beets, potatoes and grapefruit was an outstanding combination. Bouillabaise was redolent with Mediterranean flavors and aroma and Chilean sea bass with orange sauce was cooked to perfection. Service was seamless and professional, and when we asked for advice, we were given knowledgeable help. The dining room is pretty and feels country French, with ample room between tables. This is a wonderful classic French cuisine restaurant. We thought it a bargain for lunch and were surprised about the large portions served. The wine list is great. We hope to return with friends and relatives, especially when we want an exceptional dining experience.    [23 May 2003 22:17:21]
