Downtown Family Dining A good place for large portions including American (steaks, burgers) Seafood, and tasty pasta specialties. Be prepared to resist ordering big to save room for the HUGE housemade desserts that affront you as you walk through the door (almost unfair)! Food is prompt, hot and a casual place good for the kids and the whole family. [16 Feb 2000 23:48:30]

It's ok.... No big whoop. I work closeby Rosine's and have had lunches there several times. Overall, it's a good establishment. Clean, casual, friendly staff and good food. This is the place to go if you want something "safe". I've had omelets, grilled cheese sandwiches, veggie burgers. They're fine but nothing to write home about. The thing that they have going for them is the enormous portions. The deserts are gigantic. But again, the taste is no big whoop. [30 Jan 2006 05:12:05]

Great Food, Great Atmosphere My husband and I have been taking trips to Monterey for 17 years. We found Rosine's on our very first visit and make it a regular stop on each visit. The seven layer German Chocolate cake will put any chocolate lover in a coma. Breakfast is great. The portion will last you through lunch. A family can eat at Rosine's for a reasonable price. When we go to Rosine's we feel like we're visiting family. [06 Mar 2006 11:55:49]
