Past experiences at Rose's Landing I have been going to Rose's Landing for years and years and years, until unfortunately they were closed for remodeling and rebuilding, but before they rebuilt, (which is already done), let me tell you, their seafood and steaks without question were the tastiest and tender food in town. Without question they have lead the way for what dining should be all about... beautiful atmosphere combined with the most delicious food to be found anywhere and they don't hold back on the serving sizes either.
I haven't been there since they've rebuilt, but if I were you, and you can afford it, ask for the "Tiki special"... included is lobster-calamari-big baked potato brought on its own dish and of course every conceivable type of seafood that anyone could hope to have. There will be no way you can finish this... the tiki special is only for two, and I know you won't be disappointed!!!
I know that will be the first place I’m heading to when I get back to California... I had to move to texas... Take care... Vic... [13 Apr 2005 13:48:32]

Terrible Service - Food Not as Good as Before They Closed I have been going to Rose's Landing since 1984 and have always received wonderful food and service. I especially love their unique sunken bar that allows maximized ocean views from almost every table in the restaurant.
For the last two years I have gone every couple of months and have received horrible service. The Rose's Burger is smaller and garlic fries just don't have the same flavor. It seems as though the chopped garlic is not the same (not as robust). I was just there tonight and the waitress forgot to submit my order. We waited over 50 minutes and witnessed everyone around us getting served first. The waitress brought us free cups of clam chowder which wasn't all that welcome because one of us ordered a bread bowl full of clam chowder as an entree! No discount on anything else... Very disappointed. Also, the floor was FILTHY. I have dined in the dining room and the experience was quite the opposite. The fine dining facility is wonderful. [01 Apr 2007 21:58:33]
