Lots of variety and all is good This is the place to go for noodle and rice dishes. Go at lunchtime and the Noodle House will give you four (!) menus: a lunch noodle menu, a lunch rice menu, a vegetarian menu, and the dinner menu. So many choices! The lunch noodle menu has photos and is great for trying unusual but great dishes. I have tried many of the choices and have gone with quite a few people at least ten times and everyone is always pleased with their food. How they can successfully cook so many different items at very reasonable prices (lunch is around $5 to $6) is amazing. Like other thai and vietnamese restaurants in this area, don't expect everyone's food to come at the same time. However, that is a minor tradeoff for the great food and friendly staff. This is my favorite restaurant on Castro Street. Afterwards, walk around the corner to Verde Tea for frothy coffee or pearl tea--on Villa St. [09 Apr 2001 17:50:24]

So-so food, so-so service Both the food and service are so-so. Even though their name is "Noodle House," they don't serve noodles at dinner, unless you pay extra fee for it. Their appetizer "crispy crab" was not fresh at all. I won't go there again. [05 Dec 2001 08:15:59]

Delicious! The restaurant is very nice, I enjoyed the Chinese restaurant that had been there before Amarin Thai but I think I like this better. The atmosphere and environment is much better. I won't go into detail so much so people can enjoy first hand finding their own dishes they like though I will recommend two (see recommended dishes). The service is very courteous just be sure to get in early as it can get busy. [28 Feb 2003 15:25:55]
