Description
The Crossings Cafe is located directly across from the San Antonio Caltrain Station which is a short walk from the San Antonio shopping areas.
A selection of sandwiches from traditional American to creative, like the Wild Nutty Turkey Sandwich, to ethnic and vegetarian, both of which are combined in the Falafel Sandwich. Salads and Soups. And a full range of hot and cold beverages from espresso to the ChooChooCCino and ChoclaCcino: tapioca, teas and fine sodas and soft drinks. Torrefazone Italia ® Coffees. Beer and Wine will soon be available.
It seats about 24 inside and an equal number outside.
Informal, phone ahead seating and food preparation is available. Local catering is also available.
The ceiling is 20 feet, and two sides are windows all the way up, so the feeling is of space. There is usually soft classical music playing.
The cost is competitive for the type of restaurant, so a coffee is $1.35, and a large fancy Ccino is $3.50. Breakfast plate is $3 to $6. A sandwich is $5 to $6 and the Daily Special Lunch can run $6.50 or a little more.

Some Good Fixings If you're looking for a great snack, or just lunch - you'll find great eats at Crossings Cafe. The Choo Choo Chino is phenomenal, but lots of calories. But hey, we can all cheat a little! The Wild Nutty Turkey Cranberry Scoops is a real mouth-watering treat. The Chinese chicken salad is absolutely a must try! You'll fall in love with the tangy dressing.
Breakfast is good too, try their breakfast bagel and you'll find a nice size portion of egg and sausage in it. A good hearty breakfast.
This place has definitely improved since it opened. A great atmosphere, great eats and fun to train watch. [02 Dec 2003 12:24:51]

Excellent Lunches with Even Better Service Crossings Cafe is an absolute must for those seeking a balance between healthy food choices and generous portions. The soups are top notch, the chinese chicken salad is unique and scrumptious, and the salmon filet special is to die for.
The dining atmosphore is casual, with music lightly playing in the background. If its sunny outside and you're in the mood to take in the weather, the outdoor seating provides you the perfect opportunity to do so. A light breeze will cool you off as you enjoy your meal, all while enjoying the sights and sounds of both people and trains passing by.
The best part about Crossings Cafe is the service. The employees/owners treat customers with a personal touch that's unique to the bay area. If you're a regular, the Crossings Cafe staff will make you feel like Norm from the TV show Cheers. [27 May 2005 14:01:47]
