Don't go there
The first time we ate at Country Rose, we thought it was pretty good. That time we sat in a booth. It was nice, quiet, somewhat dark.
The second time we went back, we were seated by a large window, with very bright sunlight, looking out into the patio. Bad choice. In all that bright light we were able to see that the restaurant is NOT CLEAN. I blew 2 dead flies off our table. The window sills were very dirty, the advance setup of utensils included a disgusting soup spoon, and the list goes on. Looking out the window we were treated to an outside window sill covered with dirt, leaves, dead bugs, etc. My belief is if there that much dirt in plain sight of customers, what on earth does their kitchen look like?
The place needs a thorough cleaning, i.e. vacuuming, dusting of chair rungs, just everything! We will not go back, and have recommended to our friends they do not go there. I am unable to rate their food. The first time I was impressed. The second time all I could think about was the dirt and the flies everywhere.    [01 Sep 2003 19:35:24]

I thought the Country Rose was great. The food is decent, the setting was comfortable, but classy. I didnt require a coat and tie, but the iron maiden tee shirt is out.    [10 Oct 2004 20:58:13]

Great Food!
We love the Country Rose Cafe for dinner. It's wonderful to sit outside on the patio during the nice weather and enjoy one of their excellent dishes. Our favorites are the filet mignon and the halibut, which is served differently every time we go there, but every time it's delicious. We have never had a problem with service and I have never noticed a dirty restaurant as the one reviewer mentioned. This is a very casual restaurant but with excellent food and service. Prices can be a bit steep for dinner, but it's worth it.    [14 May 2007 18:37:49]
