Rustic Roadside Eats
If you're looking for a great roadside place to eat, this it it. Just outside Nevada City on HWY 49 is The Willo. Fantastic ribs and steaks. The local paper voted it the best Steak House in the area for the last 2 or 3 years. Very casual, simple in a rustic setting. The bar isn't bad either. This is where the locals go for their MEAT fix. Authentic California Roadhouse
Located just down highway 49 from Nevada City. The Willo is a funky old charming roadhouse well known for its great steaks and ribs. Also great catfish and halibut. You can even cook your own steak if you wish on the open grill. The bar is friendly with lots of local color and drinks are generous and cheap. I highly recommend.    [30 Nov 2005 19:57:30]
