Cute Little Cafe with Good Food If you live in Newbury Park, you'd be excused for not knowing that it is proximate to a diverse megalopolis with myriad dining from the world over. This town is the dumps for eats. The saving grace is this little cafe hidden behind layers of minimall. Go - you'll love the food. service is mediterranean - you'll get used to it when you become a regular. The chef partners are a surly couple, but just tell them you just got back from beirut and they'll treat you better than some invading syrian. Ahh,but he food... [29 Dec 2006 00:54:34]

Middle East Feast The owner who cooks behind the order window is reminiscent of the "Soup Nazi" on the Seinfeld show. The guy always working the tables is the nicest, most amicable person you could meet. As an appetizer, the hummus is fabulous, as is the Baba Ghanoush. We have tried everything on the menu, and all were mouth-watering dishes with exotic flavors many people aren't familiar with. Spices are deliciously pungent and aromatic, but not "spicy."
