Azar's Red Robin is Cheers Reborn
Looking for a bar like the one made famous on TV in the series "Cheers", then look no farther. Azar's Red Robin in Newbury Park is the quintessential neighborhood lounge and sports bar with the same characters that populated the TV series - in other words its great fun to be there. The food is probably the best of its kind in Newbury Park and it is a major venue for Teresa Russell, who is the best female guitarist in the country.    [18 Aug 2002 17:17:33]

Steak and Sports
Azar's has the best coverage for sports I have seen for a long time.

No matter where you look, the game's on 22 TVs. I counted them and a huge big screen. Breakfast Sunday is bacon and eggs for only $2.50 and I saw every game Monday. I sat and watched Monday night football and feasted on a full steak dinner in a place where I felt I really was special.
I'm coming back here every game day and to check out the bands on the weekend too.

Karaoke & Great Food
This place has it all. Everything on the menu is very tasteful. They have sports, bands, great employees and one of the best nights is Tuesday when Karaoke with a guy name Gary is there. He is awesome & gets the crowd going. You won't be disappointed here.    [18 Sep 2007 23:43:46]

Lobster, Shrimp, Halibut, I LOVE IT!!
My wife and I went their for dinner and karaoke. She started with shrimp cocktail, I had the calamari. Awesome choice.

Then we treated ourselves to the steak & lobster & the grilled halibut. Best steak I've had in years. And the lobster melted in my mouth.

Staff Needs Help
We went to dinner there last night with friends and the service was terrible. The waitress forgot the stuff and had to come back several times to ask again what we ordered, and it was on all items including the drinks. The food was fair; the steaks were a bit over cooked. The atmosphere was loud as it looked to be the owner's birthday but the band that starts at 9pm was setting up at 7:30 and the guitar was tuning up and was very loud. When we asked the forgetful waitress to ask them to turn it down they just cranked it up louder and when we said something to her she got agumentative.

Good Local Lounge

Creepy

Been going there for 28 years. Chef is a really good cook. Food is good, came hot, fresh.

Have really good entertainment on the weekends. Friendly waitresses.

Love This Place.
This place has everthing you could want. Comfy seating in a booth or crowded scene at the bar. Dance floor with pretty good music. Many nights live music. Free entry. Good drinks. Strong drinks. Good prices. Really good food. Really nice staff. Tons of tvs for the sporty one. Outdoor smoking area for those who smoke. I like the conejo valley chicken. Share with a friend - the plate is big.
