Great Folks, Great Food
I'm a big fan of meat and barbeque is bomb. Chef Edwards and KC's have become my favorite spots in the East Bay (and Cali for that matter). While I have only tried the Piggly Wiggly ($4.25, now that is better than an honest price!) I am off to try more. Definitely check this place out and enjoy. The Whole Package
There are some great bbq/soul food places in oakland...some commercial and over hyped...the one's everyone knows... but we came across Chef Edwards and this is by far the tops... Chef himself cooks and q's everything in this small corner shack...He's so friendly and knows everyone by name...

His pork ribs are out of this world, as well as the brisket and the beef links... (I got the 3 meat combo for 12 bucks..) plus a few side dishes. his mother's cole slaw is outstanding and fat free... the yams are killer.

Piggly Wiggly- no 'pig in a poke'!

VERY tasty!
We tried this place out tonight. It was GREAT! The ribs were tender, the sides were DELICIOUS, and the Piggly Wiggly was super yummy. Chef Edwards greeted us with a smile. Though the service was a little slow, he packaged our to-go order very carefully.
