Wow!
Are you looking for a change in Mexican cocina? Try the avocado relleno with shrimp...it's to die for. A full avocado stuffed with baby shrimp, loaded with freshly made salsa and several kinds of melted cheese make this the best Mex I have ever tasted. My spouse had the quesadilla, which she claimed was the best she'd ever had. While I didn't taste her meal, I did note that it was generously stuffed with filling. The restaurant ambiance was the expected Mexican decor--pleasant and festive. They have a limited parking lot, so street parking, which may be tight, is more likely. The restaurant is located near a nice residential area. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient, water glasses were kept full and dirty dishes were whisked away with minimum intrusion. For the two meals we had, plus drinks, the cost was slightly over $30. A bargain.    []

Not good at all. Service was snooty, food was decidedly Californicated to the point that any Mexican flavor was squeezed out. Overpriced and no parking. What else can I say?    [04 Mar 2004 13:44:22]

Overpriced & Corporate
The prices have risen, yet again! $5.00 for a draft beer? $9.50 for a margarita? This IS NOT Hawaii. It's Oakland.

Some of the food is ok but overall - corporatized overpriced fluff.
