They are the BEST !
All dishes are delicious. I was born and raised in Oxnard and Buddy Burgers is one of a kind and there is no other taste like it.
The service is fast and friendly.
I now live in another state and wish there were a Buddy Burger Restaurant here.
The prices are affordable.

Greasy, disgusting cheap burgers, yum!
This is a hole in the wall, walk-up burger joint. Everything is cheap.. $1.43 for a cheeseburger. $1.43? Not $1.49 or ??? Yep, Small fry is .94 cents.. Are they good? Hmmm. They are not a classic GREAT burger, but you know how those icky tacos at Jack-in-the-box are real tasty...that's how these burger are. I go back every month or so. Somehow they are addicting. A Classic!
I grew up in Oxnard too, and I remember back in the 1950s it was called "Wimpy's". It was basically a tin shed with a kitchen in it. The best chili dogs and burgers in the county, right up there with Tommy's in L.A. But I sure wish they would bring back the "Tamale Boat"! Buddy burgers is an Oxnard icon. I have been going there since the 60's, when it was Wimpy's. They have best chili dogs in the world. Simple yet wonderful tastes, and clean, too. Not a great area, but no one has ever bothered me, everyone is friendly.

The Ultimate Grease Spot
I was also born and raised in Oxnard. And my Grandma would ask me, as a treat from time to time, do you wanna go and get some grease, and I always knew what that meant, and that meant Buddy Burger. I would always get the chili cheeseburger, because let me tell you, there is this taste to the chili that is second to none, it is truly one of a kind. Best Burger in Town
