Casual Fine dining in Pacific Grove A three course fine dining dinner for only $24!! There are about 7 choices for each course to choose from. Desserts are out of this world and the wine list is simple and elegant. Service is outstanding and the house is gorgeous. Robert visits almost every table to say hello and check on your dining experience. Holland Dover sole is fileted and de-boned table side! []

Food intoxication! I have never left a restaurant feeling like I did after I left The White House. Every bite was pure ecstacy. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli, the salad of organic arugula greens with feta cheese and toasted hazelnuts, and the Filet of Beef Bernaise. I have never in my life had a steak melt in my mouth so much as this one did. The sauces matched and complemented each entree so perfectly. My date ordered the rack of lamb and her sighs between each bite were enough evidence that she was enjoying everything as much as I was. For dessert, Apple Tart ta tan, and a chocolate cloud cake with warm melted chocolate center. A bottle of Franciscan Merlot accompanied our meal and a glass of port helped to finish the evening. Our server was helpful and elegant. With suggestions on wine matching and much more. Robert even stopped by our table to say hello. A perfect dinner, I left feeling so good, I never want to eat anywhere but the White House again, nothing could possibly compare. [16 Aug 2003 18:32:40]

Robert Kinkaid has done it again!! My wife and I used to dine at Kinkaid's Bistro in Carmel and we were so pleased to find his new restaurant in Pacific Grove. The prices are 1/2 that of the Bistro for the same wonderful food. It is by far the best bang for your buck in the area! Make sure to call and make reservations early. We called on Thursday for a Friday reservation and couldn't get in until Saturday. It's getting popular, the word is getting out! The food is too good for words... [30 Aug 2003 16:56:41]

Culinary Delight! We had our anniversary dinner here in December and I was totally impressed. The ambiance is very romantic, the service was pefect and the food was amazing. I started with the lobster ravioli which was excellent, followed by the salad of vine repened tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fried polenta and basil with vinaigrette. Very nice! The third course was the pan seared herb and sesame encrusted ahi tuna filet, pineapple rum and beurre blanc sauce. It was outstanding. For dessert we shared a chocolate sac which is a homemade chocolate milkshake in the middle of a block of dark, rich chocolate. This place will not disappoint. Bon Appetit and thumbs up to the White House in PG!! Save it for a special occasion! [27 Jan 2004 12:43:46]

#1 I offer nothing different than the other reviews, except for the fact that I have never had a better experience in fine dining. Everything was superb! I experienced bliss at the very beginning, when the first course was served - escargot, which was delish. Then came the 2nd course - tomato, mozarella, fried polenta salad, which was amazing! Next came the third course - salmon served with mashed potatoes, spinach, and carrots, which was fantastic! Next...came sheer heaven when a Chocolate Cloud came to my table. YUMMM! Great! The food was great! The menu is short enough to show that the chef is paying special attention to each plate, yet varied so that each of our group had their own picky palette satisfied. All previous reviews do only justice to this charming restaurant. Loved the calamari, the tapenade was great, and the tart tatin (apple pie) was better even that the one I had in France once... Can't wait to go back! [16 Jan 2006 17:30:20]
