Another Mediocre Chinese Restaurant The best Chinese food in Petaluma is still in the city, as in SFO. Sure, there are a few decent Chinese eateries in P-town; Hunan Village, Lily Kai, but they are merely place holders to placate your tastebuds until they find themselves back in the Chinatown.
Dragon's View is perhaps the lowest of the low. The first time I went there, Petaluma Market, next door, was doing brisk business with their Chinese food at the salad bar. Dragon's View was empty. Literally, empty at 7:00 P.M on a Wednesday night. Still, they were a new dig, so I placed a to go order: BBQ pork fried rice, mu shu chicken, and pot stickers. Pot stickers were flavorless and spongy, Mu Shu was just gross, and the fried rice was mushy, overcooked, and oversalted. Granted, the meal ended up, not in my stomach, but in the garbage disposal. My second foray yielded similar results (Yes, I gave them a second chance).
Last time I walked by, it appeared as if they were closed. As in, gone under.
I rated them okay with service, as they were friendly and attentive. But I was the only person in the place. [05 Aug 2007 01:50:04]
