Awesome! I have tried many Mexican restaurants and dishes in my life time. Growing up my mother made homemade Mexican food daily.
My family and I visited Tortilla Flats several weeks ago and we where very impressed with every detail. The salsa was the best I've had.
THE MEAL: Oh my goodness, what can I say? AWESOME. I enjoyed the Chili Verde (pork) incredible spices and wonderful taste. my sister orderd the beef enchilladas. WOW, the sauce was just like mom used to make!!!!
The Service: Our server was absolutley friendly and courteous. I've been raving about this place for weeks and cannot wait to go back. I live 45-minutes away and look forward to heading back to Placerville, CA to this great restaurant.
I give this place 5-stars easy [01 Dec 2002 17:53:31]

Incredible!! I had one of their famous fresh Chilli Rellenos and a Cheese Enchilada. They both were very tasty. The portions are very generous also. I am a big eater and I left very satisfied. The servers were very friendly and speedy. The chip bowl was never empty! [24 Jan 2006 01:53:06]

Delicious Growing up in California I have been to many Mexican restaurants, but Tortilla Flats definitely stands among the best. I highly recommend their tacos, nachos, enchiladas...okay, basically everything is absolutely delicious. Everyone I dined with loved their meals. Make sure to get their creamed corn on the side, it is the best I have every had. Besides the food, all the employees are extremely fun and friendly, making this one of my favorite restaurants to take my friends. Don't miss out. [24 Jan 2006 02:39:20]

Incredible! Let me just say that I have never, ever, in my entire life left a restaurant without finishing what I order, and usually everyone elses, until now.
Tortilla Flats food is so amazing you can't help but eat until you can barely walk. I have eaten 21 in-N-out burgers in one sitting, eaten the giant 32 oz steak from AJ Spurs, and many more of the like, but at Tortilla Flats, I had to take a doggy bag. The best part was, I just ordered one burrito-these things are huge.
I have been there several times now, and strongly suggest the Burritos, the Chicken Sanora, and of course the ice-cream sugar tortilla dessert. The food comes out fast, but believe me, if you order the nachos, you will need a little break-they are amazing and filling. So ask for a famous top-shelf magarita from your nice, fun, smiley server and take a "Daniel" break before continuing on--but continue on you must, because the best is still to come.
Thank you Tortilla Flats for providing a place where a person can get an authentic, filling, and delicious Mexican meal without having to do dishes afterwards in order to be able to pay. [29 Jan 2006 20:14:56]

Carnitas-Awesome Being a self proclaimed conssieur of carnits, I was delighted to find about Tortilla Flats. I ordered Apple-Jalapeno carnitas and was amazed and both the amount and the flavor. This huge chuck of pork had a unique flavor that was most appealing. I didn't even come close to finishing my plate of food and was able to enjoy the same rewarding experience the following day for lunch. If you love carnitas run to Placerville and give their unique version a try. To top it all, I asked for a top shelf margarita on the rocks and was pleasantly suprised to find out they had a wide selection of top notch tequilas. My hornitos margarita(s) with a float of Cointreau was most excellent. A walk down historic Main St. afterwards was a necessary pleasure. [23 Mar 2006 15:31:50]
