Our top Chinese lunch spot
Our family enjoys Chinese cuisine here more than at any other local restaurant, especially for lunch. Great tasting dishes, bargain prices, and efficient service at this family operated place. The ambience/decor isn't notable, but food quality and value is.    [27 Nov 2004 14:41:51]

Great Chinese Food Lunch

Worst Experience Ever!

Best Chinese Hole-in-the-Wall Restaurant in Concord/Pleasant Hill, CA
China King on Monument Blvd. has been my all-time favorite hole-in-the-wall for over 20 years. Sure I try other Chinese places, but nothing compares to China King's food and prices. There are over 27 lunch specials priced between $3.95 to $4.75. I can't speak for all the dishes because I usually order my favorite: Crispy Szechuan Prawn with steamed or fried rice, small egg roll (egg roll is only so-so), soup of the day (the best hot and sour) and free hot tea---all for $4.75+tax+tip. Great Mongolian Shredded Chicken

Super-Quick Delivery
I have never been inside the restaurant, so I can't say about that. I have ordered delivery from them quite a bit and I can say that they are by far the fastest delivery ever. Also, the food is always hot and good. They have never been anything other than polite and always get my order right. I would highly recommend this restaurant for delivery.
