I love this place!
I recently had to move a few cities away from the Fountainside Cafe. I am excited about my move except for the fact that I can’t get up and walk to the cafe in the morning and grab a delicious breakfast burrito with some fresh salsa. The wonderful couple that owns this place is hard working fantastic people. The food is excellent and Tish knew my name by the 2nd time I came in. The place doesn’t look fancy, but I definitely feel at home when I walk in. I’m going to have to take a weekly trip to Pleasant Hill just to get my Fountainside fix!    [07 Nov 2003 17:56:20]

Great sandwiches and specials.
I've been going to Fountainside Cafe forever since it's been open (about 10 years). The staff is incredibly friendly and knows me by name. It's not fancy by any means but you definitely feel at home like the previous reviewer mentioned. The food more than makes up for the low-key ambience. The sandwiches are amazing especially the Jack's special, which is a Thanksgiving sandwich with roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mash potatoes, and soft wholesome bread. The barbecue turkey is also one of my favorites but you have to practice eating it or you'll get sauce everywhere. I consider myself a master of the barbecue turkey sandwich and hardly need a napkin now. Tish's quiche is also a winner. So light and fluffy it melts in your mouth. The salads are also great. Tish serves up some awesome Mexican food on certain days so keep an eye open for that. And you must get a brownie. They're wonderful.    [10 May 2005 06:48:21]
