Wow -- Have You Been to Parkside Lately? I wasn't quite sure what to make of the new ownership at the Parkside. I was certainly happy I gave it a try. Really good meal. I had this pasta special -- really incredible. I think they have a new chef from the last time I went and he was better. They don't stay open late, and they are not open on Mondays. I think it was really delicious, not expensive, but a little small. [13 Oct 2001 05:25:10]

Really Exceptional Experience I had osso bucco as an entree -- I don't know anywhere that serves that anymore.
The wine list is small, but the server (Elisa?), a seemingly knowledgeable person, told me that they are expanding the wine list, something I would look forward to.
The food was delicious. The salad-soup and entree was an interesting mix of flavors and textures. I didn't have room for dessert, but what I saw that was brought out seemed interesting. [26 Oct 2001 02:36:40]

A Pleasant Surprise! I met Jim Plunkett at the bar last night. The bar was extremely crowded yesterday (Thursday). It seems as if this is the place to be and be seen. The bartender was slow, but it was packed. That isn't saying much, the bar is small. I had butternut squash ravioli -- outstanding.
Their pastry chef should be commended. The mousse cake was delicious. [27 Oct 2001 18:32:18]

Enjoyable I had the pleasure of eating at Parkside on Saturday. I just want to tell anyone debating on whether or not to go, not to straddle the fence and go. It is small, it is hard to find, but the food is worth it. My husband and I had a really pleasant meal, a wonderful "date" night out for both of us. Reasonable price, decent service, excellent food. Pretty Good, Inexpensive, Hard to Find I had a nice time dining with my family. Large portions considering cuisine these days, and accommodating staff for my kids (3 and 6). A little noisy, but it was a crowded night. [22 Mar 2002 06:40:31]

Very Pleasant I had a great time with my husband at dinner. Fantastic meal, inexpensive but delicious wine, good amount by the glass. A very wonderful table by the window, and a very nice waiter. I live in Woodside and had some unpleasant experiences with the previous management. But new owner, new chef, new staff -- very pleasant. [19 Apr 2002 16:22:18]

Great Food The chef has really turned the food around at the Parkside. I have eaten there once or twice a year for the past 5 years, and my last few trips have been extremely enjoyable. From the pizza to the baked seabass, the food has been impeccable. I only wish that I made it out there more often. [24 May 2002 02:42:16]
