Where's Bobby?

It's still the same old Bobby's Cajun BBQ!
Bobby's Cajun BBQ used to be on San Pablo Ave. and was called Bobby's Cajun Backdoor BBQ. They moved to an El Sobrante location and the new owners of the building where Bobby's USED to be, didn't change their sign for a long time, thus people thinking they were still the same old place that got worse. It's not true! If you look now, they finally changed their sign although the "backdoor" is still in there. Bobby's is now just Bobby's Cajun BBQ. Going inside, it doesn't look like much, but the food is FABULOUS! it's just one mouth watering bite after another.

I highly recommend it if you are craving some good old fashioned bbq dishes. Friendly atmostphere and great for kids!    [19 Jun 2005 22:24:12]

I found it again!
I couldn't find Bobby's Cajun for a long time. Suddenly I drove on Hilltop Mall Road because I wanted to get away from stop and go traffic and I stumbled onto Bobby's Restaurant. I almost got into an accident yelling and screaming on my cell phone saying "I found it, I found it!" Thank God I found you, Bobby!    [25 Feb 2006 00:20:24]

The other review before mine couldn't be MORE WRONG!!! I drive by there everyday and I see Bobby (the owner and cook) is there every day even Monday when they are closed. I literally see him there at 6:15am on my way to work and at 6:45 pm on my way home!!! As far as the employees go, same people, his 2 daughters, grandson and granddaughter all run the shop from what I've seen. Bobby even gave me a huge plate of meatloaf he had just made for his family FOR FREE last time I was there. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place...everything is homemade from the sauce to the cobbler to the gumbo. Catfish Fridays are my fave with greens and cornbread YUM !!!!    [02 Apr 2006 03:29:10]

Doesn't look good
Looks like Bobby's is gone. Door is locked, and has been for the past couple of months. Handwritten sign asks for patience during the "temporary closure". Decorations were recently boxed up. Anyone have further information on what happened/possible reopening?    [25 Sep 2006 17:28:27]

Well I have become addicted to Bobby's links. The problem is they have been closed for so long I'm worried that they may not return.

I have tried to copy the taste with home brew tatics and have not come close to his tastes.

Bobby... I need some help...I'm in need of the link.
