Old School Authentic Mexican Cuisine This is an awesome find in the Bay area! The excellent dishes served here are exquisitely prepared as it would in the hacienda of a wealthy 'patron' DEEP IN THE MEXICAN INTERIOR.
Enjoy! [13 Aug 2003 11:24:18]

Great Homemade Food I loved it! Not only is the food delicious but the dining area is colorful. As soon as you walk in feel as if you were transported to Mexico, with its authentic Mexican groceries, pinatas and candies you'd only find in Guadalajara. They also have an array of fresh sweet Mexican bread. The menu is full of variety with the basic burritos and tacos to specialty dishes that the head chef prepares personally. Not only is the food the best but the prices are frugal! You truly walk away with a smile of satisfaction. [19 Sep 2003 18:39:00]

i agree with your critique Ny name is Nayaa, I attended a desktop publishing course at Richmond High School back in 1992 and stumbled upon Pepito's Deli. Then I ordered the "enchilada suiza" plate (price was $3.20), then I started adding a chile relleno to the enchilada plate for a combo dinner. Now, in 2003, it's all I order and I must have it at least 2 times a month. In March of this year, I moved to the Caribbean Islands but as soon as I landed in November (home for the holidays) literally as soon (landed on the evening of the 4th & was at Pepito's on the 5th) as I got back to the bay I headed for a great meal. The Best Mexican Food Working in the area, I go to Pepito's once a week. My favorite is the Enchilada Suiza plate. They have excellent tortas and their menudo is the best I've had. Their hot sauce and chiles are homemade and fresh. Definitely authentic and reasonably priced. [07 Oct 2005 00:10:13]

Richmond Tradition I absolutely love, love, love the Tortas de Carnitas they have on the weekends! Oh, and they added a BEAUTIFUL patio that comes very unexpectedly because you can't see it from the outside. I enjoy my meals out there . . . I feel like I'm in my little oasis. [05 Sep 2007 20:13:57]
