Casual Pizza was flavorful, the crust too thin for my liking.
Pork (the other white meat) sandwich with apple slices and tasty sauce, very good and light. [02 Feb 2001 17:23:26]

Great Food, Service and Atmosphere, Reasonable Prices I've never had a meal I didn't enjoy at the 33rd Street Bistro, and I eat there often. Their brunch menu is terrific (I particularly like the frittata they occasionally feature) and their sandwiches and entrees are wonderful - but the Kal-Bi Ribs - generous portions of pork short ribs with a stunning, perfectly balanced sweet-slightly spicy Asian influenced barbecue sauce served with delicious mashed potatoes - are one of the best dishes I have ever had anywhere. And that's saying a lot. [03 Oct 2001 19:03:46]

The Thing I Crave I live in Los Angeles now, and still crave 33rd - I haven't found a restaurant in LA that even compares. My ultimate recommendation for a 33rd experience is the Mt. Rainier panini. It's outstanding. The Oregon Blue Cheese Salad is like no other - the boneless hot wings served on top make the salad. The Jerk Ribs are served with an amazing lime cilantro cream sauce. For a nice cocktail, try the Raspberry Cheesecake Martini (served with a little chocolate pudding on the rim of the glass....yum!) [03 Jan 2003 11:37:23]

Local treasure Comfortable, high-energy, and consistently great. And affordable! The only downfall...no reservations--plan to wait during the typical rush hours. The best halibut dish I've had in Sacramento (although a seasonal selection.) [09 Mar 2003 01:10:42]

Right in the neighborhood This is a great spot for lunch or brunch or casual supper. All the panini sandwiches are terrific, great salds, nice wine list. Casual yet chic. [23 Nov 2003 20:17:52]
