Great Food, Great Prices
I have never experienced a restaurant like Adalberto's. It is a family favorite. The food is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I couldn't believe the prices versus the portions. The rolled tacos with pico de gallo, the beef tostada, and the chicken burrito are all the best of the best. Service is great for a fast food type of restaurant. The ambiance lacks, but it is definitely a place where you can go to get away, and won't be rushed or bothered. Plus they are open 24 hours a day.    [31 Mar 2003 22:00:19]

Juicy Tacos
If you like juicy tacos which I do not this is the place to go. I started eating at Adalbertos when it first opened in San Diego. I loved the Flying Saucers. A flying saucer is a fried flour tortilla with a layer of refried beans, a layer of beef, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, ending up with guacamole and sour cream on top. Like a giant torta. The food in my opinion is mediocre but it is a cool place to go after the club lets out at 2 am and you want to replenish the energy that hitting the dance floor knocked out of you. My suggestion is as I said before the The Flying Saucer or the Beef Chimchanga.    [06 Sep 2003 02:10:52]

Very Good
Adalberto's in Sacramento has great food and the prices are very reasonable. My favorite is the vegetarian burrito which is stuffed with everything. It is huge and is only $3.00, and the price was just raised! Unbelievable. The tacos and rolled tacos are also very good. The dining room leaves much to be desired, though it is technically a fast food restaurant.    [05 Dec 2003 18:40:41]

Greatness
I live near a 'Bert's, as I call them, in Carmichael. This 'Bert's is across the street from a Jimboy's gag-station. Jimboy's patrons are all dumb gringos. The patrons at 'Bert's are mostly latin americans. That says a lot.

If you want great, authentic Mexican food go to Adalberto's. There are many from which to choose now all over Sacramento. The carnitas ( twice-cooked, shredded pork shoulder ) dishes are spectaculor if you don't mind some serious caloric intake. You'll get mounds of food for under five bucks and you won't be hungry again for at least a day. If you seek ambience and status symbols this isn't your place, yuppie. If you want darned good food fast and cheap, 'Bert's is your best bet.    [15 Jan 2004 18:24:17]

Perfection!
Most people in Sacramento, besides those that have traveled to Sacramento, did not know what great Mexican food is. Now, thanks to Adalberto’s, only those unfortunate enough not to have tried it still believe Taco Tree, Taco Bell and Jimboy’s account for good Mexican food. The prices are better than those places, and the serving sizes are twice that of other places. It is a meat eater's paradise! Consider the Carne Asada Burrito: Steak, guacamole, and pico de gallo. No rice, no beans or other fillers that take away from the flavor. The rolled tacos, though they sometimes are not as perfectly crispy as others, are always delicious, topped with the guac and pico, which consists simply of fresh tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Everyone that I have recommended it to has left in awe, and is usually back the next day. Adalberto’s looks like a hole in the wall, but it is the best kept secret in Mexican food. Not such a secret though, judging by the crowds at 2 am. (It's always open!)    [08 Apr 2004 15:19:46]

Yummy!
They have the best beans I have tasted in Sacramento filled with flavor! You can pick almost anything and you can't go wrong. Open 24 hrs a day thing is a huge plus too.    [15 Apr 2007 02:22:52]
