A Fun, Unique Experience! The Samoa Cookhouse is certainly one-of-a-kind. Billed as the last remaining lumberjack-style restaurant in the West, the atmosphere feels unchanged since decades ago when the lumberyard was still open, and the long, wooden tables and red and white checkered tablecloths help to transport you back to that different time. The servers are incredibly friendly and happily provide you with information and history about the area. Family-style meals have several courses that are all-you-can-eat, but just one serving of the incredibly tasty food might be enough to satisfy. Finally, a small museum adjacent to the restaurant gives you a peek into the actual everyday life of the lumberjacks and their families who settled in the area years ago. If you are tired of the same old chain restaurants and want to experience something different, then absolutely visit the Samoa Cookhouse; you won't be disappointed! [25 May 2008 15:06:41]
