Great food, avoid the owner Great food, pleasant waitresses. The owner is often the guy behind the bar, and he can be real rude if he doesn't know or recognise you. He will stand and talk to the regulars for 10-15 minutes, while ignoring you as you wait for a drink. You are actually better to be there during a busy time, as the waitresses hustle to make up for his lack of service. [19 Mar 2004 12:29:17]

Taco Jane on a Mountain Bike We've eaten many times at Taco Jane's! It's very creative and light Mexican / Carribbean food. None of their entrees are drenched in fat. Quite the contrary! Fish tacos, enchiladas mole, chile rellenos are all light on fat and heavy on the vegetable. In fact, the salads served with every entree are light and fruity. And I can't end without mentioning their roasted tomato salsa - even Dr. Atkins couldn't resist dipping a chip in it! [27 May 2004 23:43:11]

Same food, different venue The food was good, however I have eaten at places in the city and Berkley which, like Taco Jane's, try to be too different when in reality they are all the same. Like the one other guy said, the owner is arrogant with people he does not know. Get over yourself and count your blessings... you're still in business! [31 Jan 2006 00:51:31]
