I have been to dinner at Creola a number of times, and the food does not disappoint. Blackened Catfish, Jambalya, Hush Puppies, you name it, they have it and all wonderfully prepared.

If there is a distraction, it's the service personnel. Not all of them are savy about wine, which I admit is a pet peeve of mine. On two occasions that I brought my own bottle, they messed up removing the cork.

Overall, it's a great place to go out to dinner, and I highly recommend you do so soon.    [08 Apr 2000 15:09:36]

We were so pleased with the service from the moment we walked in the door. The waiter was very helpful and the food could not have been better, will be back to try everything. The fact that the food could be so flavorful and not too spicy meant so much to me.    [12 Jun 2005 22:41:14]

Apalling Experience at CreoLa - Horrible Food and Service
We have often been loyal to CreoLa Restaurant in San Carlos, and thus I was excited to go to dinner to celebrate my father's birthday with my family. The food was less than average this visit - and the service was horrible. I was appalled by the service that we received. First,a family member that was meeting us at the restaurant was turned away at the door, claiming that our party was not at the restaurant. Second, our waitress was visibly irritated and rushed us through our order. When our food arrived, two out of five of the dishes were incorrect and overcooked, and our waitress never returned to check to see if our food was ok. Last, once we finished paying, a server (not the original waitress we had) came to inform us that another party was waiting for our table and that we needed to leave.

As an event manager at a company in Silicon Valley, I am often looking for catering and event locations to host executive dinners etc. I will never recommend this restaurant to any of my co-workers. Additionally, I do not plan to visit this restaurant again.    [26 Feb 2006 19:08:54]
