Description

Upscale Italian restaurant offering tapas and four types of risotto, as well as standard Italian fare. Their entire menu is available for takeout.

They also do catering, and (as a pleasant surprise) actually show several prix fixe banquet menus (with prices) on their web site. Their site also has some nice pictures of the restaurant interior.

Disappointing visit
As a single diner I was seated after a few minutes.

The coffee I asked for was stale, you could tell it had been on the heating pad for a while.

The "Seasonal Salad" was a bit bland. I was offered black pepper but no dressings.

The "Wild Salmon" on the daily menu was probably OK to start with but there's one cardinal sin to avoid when cooking fish: "Don't overcook". The chef did commit this sin and they managed to make salmon tough.

The Cheesecake dessert has no biscuit base. It was OK but I've never had a cheesecake before without the cake.    [20 Dec 2004 10:42:05]
