Avenue 9 has a cozy, modern atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of standards as well as a number of daily specials. The food is bistro fare, well prepared and presented.

It is close to Golden Gate Park but is a regular spot for SF locals.

Great Bistro Fare
Avenue 9 is consistently a local favorite. Try the garlic/cheese fries with a steak or try one of the daily specials that could include duck, pear/arugula salad - it's good food at a very reasonable price.    [20 Jan 2000 18:54:49]

A great local spot!
Avenue 9 is great! Their bistro-style food changes seasonally, but is consistently full-flavored and well prepared. Good wine list, good service. The space can be loud, try to sit in the back room.    [06 Mar 2000 17:48:44]
