good food, extremely bad service! Souffle, souffle and more souffle. My girlfriend and I had an 8:45 reservation at Jacqueline's. When we got there, they told us to come back at 9:30, we went back they told us to wait for 1/2 hour. They ended up sitting us at 11:00! The souffles didn't come til 11:30, and by the time we were done it was alreay 1:00AM! Jacqueline's souffles are good, but not by no measure extraordinary. The worst part was when we reserved Jacqueline (who takes the reservations herself) didn't tell us what were in for. Jacqueline makes the souffles herself, so the wait and exhorbitant price is for her labour. The waiters were rude (especially the one people next to us refered to sarcastically as "Mr. Friendly"). It's totally overrated. I wouldn't go back. [19 Jun 2002 21:08:57]

Re: This person should have proof-read his review for punctuation, word choice, sentence structure, etc. His composition reveals more about him, than it does about Jacqueline's. Good thing he didn't have the courage to sign his name. He has saved himself some embarrassment.
Any one who knows about this restaurant is aware of it's unique character and is prepared for an adventure. I'm sure Jacqueline's will continue to survive, despite the loss of this person's patronage. For someone like him, I would suggest a chain restaurant.
