Simply one of the BEST restaurants PERIOD.
Steps to prepare yourself for this treat:
1) Starve yourself for 2 days before going.
2) Wear either stretch pants or pants 3 sizes too big.
3) Bring cab fare.
IMNSHO, the Old Krakow is better than the Osaka Grill, Betelnut, CityScapes, & the Equinox COMBINED. Albeit the fare is completely different, when you compare the ambience, cost and quality of both food and service, nothing beats the Old Krakow Polish Restaurant & Art Cafe. Definitely a must if you are either tourist or long-time resident of SF. Don't miss this opportunity to try Polish food at its best. Actually, food at its best. The Mushroom soup is super duper
We ordered the mushroom soup based on others' recommendations and indeed the mushroom soup is out of the world. It was rich in flavor, creamy and very, very filling. The red beet salad is to die for and the cheese and potatoe pierogi is the best I have had. An incredible find in a small and quaint neighborhood.    [10 Aug 2006 12:37:20]
