If you like abuse with your noodles, Sam Woh's is definitely the place. Though prime abuser and local landmark Edsel Ford Fung has passed on to that big chow fun factory in the sky, his spirit lives on. - CitySearch - suggest change

I Miss This Place! I found this place back in the 70s when I was doing an internship in the Presidio area of SF. My friends and I would go there for a cheap meal, I remember being waited on by Edsel Ford himself the first time we found Sam's; I had a bad cold and stuffy nose, and I wasn't sure I was up to eating. He sized me up, and said, "Curry Noodle Soup for you." It was just the cure. I have never had a curry noodle soup quite as good since then. I know more stories about this place, but I cannot repeat them in mixed company. This is a one-of-a-kind experience. People used to come from all over the world to be abused by Edsel and company. I am delighted to know this place is still there. [28 Mar 2004 18:11:08]

the first time Don't be afraid of the entrance, just keep walking and go upstairs. chow mein is great, soup is better. Keep an open mind and have fun. [10 Feb 2006 01:27:08]
