Best outside of Chicago
I would be surprised about the busy atmosphere until I realized how good the pizza is! No wonder the place is hopping! No plain run of the mill pizzas here, it's fantastic outside of Chicago, and would give the big boys a run for their money if it were!    [27 Jan 2004 14:52:26]

Overrated Imitation Italian Restaurant
I stayed at the Orchard Hotel that was across from Uncle Vito's. After reading rave reviews, I had to try it. What a big dissappointment. I grew up in NY where true Italian food exists and let me inform you that Vito's is nowhere near Italian-like. The pizza was bland and uninspiring. The spaghetti was one big soggy mess with a tomato sauce that tasted like it came from an old can. I left hungry and had to down the street to Union Square to eat at another restaurant. Vito's is good stuff
I'm a regular delivery customer (100+ orders in the past year). I think the food is great, it's reasonably price, and the staff is friendly. Sure it may not be authentic Italian, but I don't think that is their aim.    [16 Jan 2005 16:15:01]
