Excellent Dim Sum I went there with my cousin, an SF native, on the recommendation of Zagat's. I sure didn't regret it. The food was fresh and tasty, and went beyond the ordinary selection of dim sum to some exotic and different morsels. [10 Jan 2000 14:18:52]

Boutique Dim Sum Yank Sing puts that extra effort into their dim sum, and it shows. The shrimp dumpling skins are just a little thinner, more translucent, and a bit more al dente than usual. (The point is to eat the shrimp; the skin is there just to hold everything together, and should not call attention to itself). The fried stuffed taro pockets, though smaller than usual, are piping hot, even when they emerge from the carts. And I cannot recall another dim sum establishment where one can order Peking duck by the slice! Wow, this is boutique dim sum to the max, and as such, commands a higher price, which I am more than willing to pay for an excellent dining experience. [20 Feb 2008 17:40:35]
