Viva Beto!
The two look-alike brothers who own Beto's should be proud. The little restaurant on Las Tunas and Del Mar, by KFC, is sure to bring a lasting smile to the customer who wants to be pampered in his stomach and his heart. The brothers Beto are there every day; they even attend the tables. The waitresses are warm, genuine and pleasant señoritas. The green-eyed señora who hand-makes tortillas, the special concoctions the Moreno brothers make for their tequila-inclined customers -- so many things can turn into a plesant surprise at Beto's, a restaurant where the construction workers and truckers mix with doctors and lawyers, some coming all the way from Los Angeles.
If you imagine the food as thoroughly satisfying, just wake up and go taste the enchiladas, the chile relleno, the moles. Beto's has two "chefineros" (chef/cocinero): one is from the Pacific state of Guerrero -- he cooks the fish and seafood; the other is from the cattle and tequila state of Jalisco -- he takes care of the beef, chicken and goat; and both take care of the fresh chile salsas (chipotle, pasilla, verde, etc).
