Small Burger Joint Outdoes the Nearby Burger Chain Should you find yourself traveling on I-5 near Laguna Niguel and be hit with a burning need for a burger, give A's a try. All you will need is an appetite. Their burgers, especially their trademark A's Burger cannot be beat. Don't overlook the bacon-cheese burger, which is what this reviewer normally orders. If you opt for a side of either french fries or onion rings, be prepared for a mountain of food. Under no circumstances should you order both because you will never finish everything. Don't be put off by the seemingly high prices for the side orders because you will be amazed at how much you get. The atmosphere is lacking, but not garish. Most of the tables wobble slightly and the plastic chairs look out of place. However, you will not notice this because you will be too busy stuffing your face with the best burger imaginable. A's does not have the name recognition of any other burger chain, but what they lack in decor and ambiance is more than made up for once you take that first bite. [13 May 2004 13:38:11]

South Orange County's Best Kept Secret A's is a small little burger shop that also serves some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever tasted. Located right next-door to a corporate monster, with a highly acclaimed burger chain just a few doors down, the fact that A's is always busy should tell you something about the quality of the food - not to mention the reasonable prices.
A's makes the best french fries in the world and their Double-Bacon-Cheese burger would make Homer Simpson drown on his own saliva. By far the favorite at A's is "The Special"; two bean and cheese burritos for about two bucks. I like mine with rice (add fifty cents). Also try the chicken combo burrito (add avocado!) or the chicken soft-taco (equal to two hefty tacos).
If you live anywhere an near A's (Capo and Dana Point) you can forget just about all the rest of the fast-food places around. [10 Oct 2004 19:29:46]

Yum A's is a life-affirming delight. the matter of the fast is that every item on the simple, welcoming menu is a treat. friends and i have recently been ordering cheese fries. not on the menu, but they'll make anything the way you like it. goos service, nice employees and it's good to support a small community business. especially if it's yummy.
