Best Cannoli in USA (!)
Romolo's, in San Mateo, makes the BEST homemade/handmade cannoli, bar none!! Yes, I've taken on the difficult task of scouring high and low for the "holy cannoli"; from DC to San Francisco, from Boston to Houston, from Tampa to Seattle, I’ve had them all…and through much exhaustive work and perseverance I conclude (without a doubt) the best are at Romolo's. By the way, their ice cream, spumoni and cakes are equally incredible...so make sure you save room for dessert and try all their treats.

Romolo's Cannoli are Amazing
They were recommended by a friend and I tried them for the first time last night... and couldn't stop at one (had two and a cappucino)at their shop in San Mateo. The shells are so delicate and crispy and the ricotta cheese filling is divine, so creamy, not too sweet or granular. They're made to order so they're super fresh and they also sell the shells, filling, powdered sugar and candied cherries seperately so you can make them for yourself whenever you want. The lovely owner also offered tastes of their homemade ice cream that is so rich and natural. They even make Spumoni.
