The Best Spaghetti and Meatballs
Gisella's is right on State Street in Santa Barbara. We stopped for dinner one weekend and I ordered a non-exotic spaghetti and meatballs. I was surprised at how delicious it was - the tomato sauce was cooked in onions and it came with 5 meatballs. The spaghetti noodles were cooked just right - firm and not overcooked. My daughter ordered the Rigatoni con melanzane which also looked delicous. I'll probably get that next time. I know that spaghetti and meatballs is a relatively simple dish, but I'm amazed how many restaurants can mess it up. Gisella's prepares it perfectly.    [06 Jan 2003 22:20:54]
