Wonderful Dining and Catering If you need last minute event catering, this is the place. Service, food and value are all outstanding. Wait staff is very professional and they look great. For in house dining, expect a busy yet inviting environment. Pasta bar is fab and the salads are to die for! Great banquet room and wonderful for large groups. [03 Apr 2003 12:03:14]

Rude Service The waitress who worked the patio area on 05/21/03 was unapologetic and defensive when confronted with her rude behavior. She went so far as to announce that to our party that her poor service was our fault for not properly notifying Geezers that we were going to have dinner. Our intention to have dinner at this restaurant was clearly planned in advance with Geezers' management. Several members of our party complained to the manager on staff and were dismissed. Convenient for Santa Fe businesses but the wait could be somewhat of a problem. Reservations highly recommended. If you have a large party, forget it. The service is problematic. [27 May 2003 17:00:36]

WOW! Not living in the Santa Fe Springs area, I had never been to Geezers before, but was I impressed. I highly recommend the Chicken Caesar salad. Our service was outstanding and even the restrooms were spotless. [06 Jun 2003 01:32:56]

Sunday Brunch At Geezer's I have been to Sunday Brunch at Geezer's approximately ten times and have never been disappointed. The cold food is always cold, the hot food hot, and is replenished often. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. They serve champagne with brunch, I have heard both good and bad about the quality, I personally do not drink. My favorite part of Geezer's is a toss up between the ambiance and the bakery which serves up huge muffins, cookies and brownies (out of this world!) [16 Jul 2003 00:48:39]

We had our 25th wedding anniversary at Geezer's in Sante Fe Springs. All I can say is thank you to the banquet managers and dining staff. They were wonderful. They took care of everything.... If you have ever planned an event you know the small details... They handled everything.. They even recommended a few DJs. We chose "Double Exposure" who were FANTASTIC.
For anyone who has been disappointed in the past, Please, please you must give this outstanding restaurant a second try.
The food was outstanding and never ending. Their whole buffet bar was dressed to the 9s. [12 Apr 2004 18:29:11]

Rude Waitresses & Dumb Manager My friend and I went to Geezers on 4/29/05 to have a couple beers in the bar area. We have been there for family parties, weddings, showers, televised sports events, aside from occasional dining, and have thought that the service by a couple of the waitresses was not exactly the best. This particular occasion the waitresses were engulfed in a conversation that prohibited them from doing their "actual job." When the "night manager" was confronted with these concerns he basically dismissed us by suggesting that my friend and I were pretty girls and that we would probably get faster service if we walked up to the bar. I as well as my friend were very disappointed at his lack of management skills. Very bad experience!! [10 May 2005 18:09:49]

Good food..... uh service?? The food is great no doubt, the chicken Caesar salad is to die for, the pastas are good, only that the tomato sauce ones are made with the same basic bruschetta sauce for the bread. Cream pastas are the best. The chicken is precooked or frozen prior cooking, so heads up. The steak is pricy but delicious, the veggies can be overcooked (noticeably not fresh) seafood pasta is basic and small shrimp (bummer). The soups are very good though because THEY are made at the restaurant from scratch. But the clam chowder is the only one worth trying over and over again. Over all good food, large quantities (sharing!!). Service is not too good. Thankfully I have noticed some waitresses being changed (as of 09/2005)...hopefully the service improves. P.S: If you don't arrive with a reservation, they will make you wait a long time!!! And may even get angry if it's a large amount of people............ [15 Dec 2005 02:16:06]

Surprise 50th Birthday Party Just wanted to say that my husband's surprise 50th party was a success. Food was great, service and waitresses were very nice; everything was handled nicely and the hall's appearance is very nice. My guests were very pleased. The only thing I was disappointed with is that my guests didn't get their drinks with their dinner. I thought they would have been automatically served. [26 Jan 2006 15:25:19]

FOOTBALL SEASON BRUNCHES My wife and I have been going for years with family and friends and have gotten to know the regulars during the NFL season. Great food and atmosphere. Appreciate the free-flowing champange too. However; I see that we're not the only ones that have had concerns with the dispositions of some of the waitresses and spotty service. Our one big complaint is the "I'm doing YOU a favor" attitude of the regular Sunday morning bartender! He could be a lot friendlier and appreciative to those who tip well! See you pre-season!
