Boonie's Is the Definitive Thai Food in the SMV Boonie's literally has 100 different dishes. Their menu is amazing -- letting you customize your meals to your liking.
Boonie's used to be a Cafe 50's/diner themed restaurant, converted into a Thai-esque themed diner . . . with that 50's feel still. It's a really neat floor layout. Very roomy.
I like seafood, and I tend to get the #77 scallop with curry noodle. It's soft pan fried noodles with scallops, yellow curry, onions, and spinach -- but the best thing are these little mushrooms they put in it. Sooo flavorful. If I'm feeling brave, I'll get it spicy, and end up breaking a sweat.
The service is marvelous -- so friendly . . . and never in need of anything. Boonie's treats everyone very friendly, but they totally recognize frequent customers, and that's always awesome.
Boonie's has the #4 goong ka borg, which are egg-rolled shrimp served with a peanut sweet/sour sauce. A must get!
Their Thai tea is an awesome herbal tea with cream in it. Deliciously complements the main courses.
They have an assortment of soups and salads, fried rices, thai beers, etc.
Go try it. [08 Oct 2008 18:49:07]
